The Opportunity

As Cedars-Sinai prepares for an ambitious new philanthropic campaign, the organization is investing in the people and infrastructure required to sustain its growth, including the leaders who will shape how donors are engaged at every level. The Executive Director, Annual and Special Giving will build and oversee a sophisticated department that combines broad-based fundraising with increasingly personalized engagement as donors progress through the philanthropic continuum.

This valued population of donors giving less than $100,000 will be one of the institution’s most important sources of future major and principal gift relationships.

The Executive Director will lead an integrated strategy spanning broad-based annual giving, leadership annual giving, special gifts, and donor acquisition and renewal, with an emphasis on identifying donors with the inclination and capacity to give more and creating intentional pathways to move them toward higher levels of support.

The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible fundraising experience and understands that annual and special giving serve two equally important purposes: generating significant philanthropic support today and building the institution’s major donor community of tomorrow.

Highly analytical, collaborative, and results-oriented, this leader will bring the ability to build systems and teams that operate effectively at scale, a strong commitment to the individual donor experience, and the creativity to engage donors from all corners of the Cedars-Sinai community.

The salary range for this position is $210,000 – $310,000.
