Founded in 1967, Lycée Français de San Francisco is an independent, international school providing a multilingual and multicultural education to approximately 900 students from preschool through Grade 12. Representing more than 50 nationalities and 35 languages across three Bay Area campuses, the Lycée combines French educational traditions with a distinctly international outlook, preparing intellectually curious, adaptable students to contribute in an interconnected world.

As the School approaches 60 years of academic excellence, it is preparing to launch the most ambitious philanthropic initiative in its history: a $10 million capital and endowment campaign. The campaign will invest in a new gymnasium and recreational space, a community hub, art and music classrooms, and an endowment supporting faculty and programs.

The Opportunity

The Lycée seeks a strategic and results-focused advancement leader to serve as its newly created Director of Major Gifts and Campaigns.

The Director will provide day-to-day leadership for the $10 million campaign, coordinating strategy and execution while cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding the School’s highest-capacity prospects. They will also build a sustainable major gifts program designed to secure transformational support well beyond the campaign.

Reporting to the Head of School and serving on the senior leadership team, the Director will partner closely with the Board, Director of Advancement, and campaign volunteers to build momentum around six- and seven-figure philanthropy. A completed feasibility study gives the incoming Director a strong foundation from which to lead.

This is an opportunity to shape both a historic campaign and the long-term fundraising capacity of a globally minded school community.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000.
