The Opportunity

The Director of Annual Giving joins Howard University at an exciting point in the evolution of its Development and Alumni Relations program.

As the University continues to strengthen its fundraising infrastructure and expand philanthropic engagement, this leader will shape and execute a comprehensive annual giving strategy that increases donor participation, grows annual revenue, and strengthens the pipeline for future major and principal gifts.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Development Operations and Annual Giving, the Director will oversee an integrated omni-channel fundraising program spanning digital engagement, direct mail, phone, video, volunteer fundraising, leadership annual giving, stewardship, and donor acquisition strategies.

This is an opportunity for an experienced annual giving leader to build sustainable fundraising momentum at one of the world’s most influential institutions of higher education, helping ensure that Howard University’s mission continues to thrive for generations to come.

The salary range for this position is $125,000–$135,000.
