With an expansive, multigenerational community and a loyal donor base, the Foundation has an opportunity to broaden participation, deepen engagement, and cultivate the next generation of supporters.
The Opportunity
The Chi Omega Foundation seeks a Chief Development Officer to shape the future of giving back across one of the world’s largest women’s fraternal communities.
As the Fraternity and Foundation move forward under a shared CEO, the CDO will serve as the Foundation’s senior development leader, strengthening alignment, expanding philanthropic engagement, and building a comprehensive development program positioned for sustained growth.
This is both a strategic leadership role and a frontline fundraising opportunity.
The CDO will lead major, annual, and planned giving; donor engagement and stewardship; campaigns; and advancement services while managing a national portfolio of high-capacity prospects and personally securing major, planned, and transformational gifts. The leader will also establish fundraising goals and accountability systems, use data and technology to strengthen performance, and develop a high-performing development team.
Working alongside CEO Leslie Herington, Foundation Trustees, the Supreme Governing Council, staff, and national volunteer leaders, the CDO will translate the lifelong affinity that Sisters have for Chi Omega into deeper philanthropic engagement.
The opportunity calls for a builder who combines strategic vision and measurable results with a highly relational approach, strengthening the donor pipeline and creating new ways for Chi Omega’s nationwide community to invest in the organization’s future.
The salary range for this role is $190,000–$230,000.
