​Closing the Communications-Fundraising Gap

Successfully integrating communications and fundraising staffers into a single team can be a real boon for your organization. Even if full integration is an insurmountable obstacle, there are still ways to enhance partnerships and make them more productive.

One idea is to have each team examine a communication the other uses and determine what is most effective and least effective from each side. Suggest that they each incorporate only a single change to their colleague’s piece. Doing this exercise will help the teams to better understand each other.
