Comic Relief, NBC Universal, Walgreens and M&Ms have joined together for the Red Nose Daycampaign. A three-hour TV special will air tonight to raise awareness and donations for a list of charitable causes (view the whole list here). This campaign has been conducted in the UK for years and has writer David Hessekiel asking in a recent article: Red Nose Day: Will This British Invasion Succeed? on Forbes.com.
Besides watching the television promotion, participants can purchase red noses at Walgreen’s for $1 each. Fifty cents of every purchase goes to charity with the other half going towards the production of the noses.
