The Opportunity

The Senior Development Officer role is an exceptional opportunity for a sophisticated frontline fundraiser to join one of higher education’s most accomplished advancement organizations at a moment of significant momentum.

Working with highly engaged alumni and parents, the Senior Development Officer will cultivate relationships with philanthropists capable of transformational investments, including gifts of $5 million or more, while helping advance initiatives that reflect Williams’ highest priorities.

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Development, the Senior Development Officer will serve as a trusted partner across the College, collaborating with academic leaders, alumni engagement professionals, and colleagues throughout the Williams community to develop innovative engagement strategies and advance meaningful philanthropic partnerships. This role also offers the unique opportunity to help build relationships with entrepreneurs, corporate founders, and emerging philanthropic leaders through strategic partnerships with the ’68 Center for Career Engagement and Alumni Relations.

For an accomplished fundraiser eager to work with deeply committed donors, lead complex gift strategies, and contribute to one of the country’s most respected liberal arts colleges, this role offers both professional challenge and extraordinary mission-driven impact.

The salary range for this position is $155,000 to $175,000.
