The Opportunity
The Senior Associate Vice President for Advancement will join Meharry at a defining moment, helping to shape and scale a comprehensive advancement enterprise in support of an ambitious $500 million campaign.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Institutional Advancement, this role serves as the second-most senior advancement leader and a central architect of fundraising strategy, team development, and operational excellence.
This leader will oversee all fundraising programs, from principal and major gifts to alumni relations, corporate and foundation partnerships, and advancement operations. With responsibility for a growing team of approximately 20 professionals, the SAVP will focus on building infrastructure, refining performance metrics, and cultivating a culture of accountability and collaboration. The role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership, including managing a select portfolio of high-level prospects and advising institutional leadership on campaign strategy.
