The Opportunity
Rice University is preparing for the launch of its 2026 campaign and seeks an Executive Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship to shape the next chapter of its philanthropic journey. This position represents a rare opportunity to elevate and redefine the donor experience at one of the nation’s top universities.
The Executive Director will serve as a key leader within Development and Alumni Relations (DAR), responsible for conceptualizing and implementing a comprehensive, campus-wide donor relations and stewardship program.
This individual will move beyond traditional acknowledgments to design high-impact, customized experiences and materials that resonate with donors and reflect the profound generosity that sustains Rice. From building recognition programs to curating personalized stewardship for major and principal gifts, the Executive Director will ensure that every supporter feels valued, connected, and inspired to continue giving.
