With the momentum of multiple years of record fundraising performance, including a historic $121 million scholarship commitment, BGSU is preparing to launch its next comprehensive fundraising campaign on July 1, 2026. This moment reflects both institutional confidence and a bold vision for the future, supported by strong leadership, growing donor engagement, and a culture increasingly centered on philanthropy and impact.

The Opportunity

The opportunity to serve as Executive Director for Campaigns and Donor Relations comes at a transformational moment for Bowling Green State University. Reporting to the Vice President for University Advancement and President and CEO of the BGSU Foundation, the Executive Director will serve as the strategic architect and operational leader for the University’s next comprehensive campaign.

This individual will guide campaign planning and execution across every phase, helping align institutional priorities, fundraising strategy, volunteer engagement, communications, and stewardship efforts into a unified and compelling vision.

In addition to leading campaign operations, the Executive Director will oversee donor relations and stewardship strategy across the University Advancement division. The role requires a collaborative and highly strategic advancement professional capable of building momentum across a decentralized environment while inspiring teams and fostering strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and campus leaders.
