The Opportunity
The Executive Director of Advancement, West Coast will lead advancement strategy across California and the broader West Coast while personally cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a significant portfolio of major and principal gift prospects.
The Executive Director will look beyond traditional sources of higher education philanthropy, identifying emerging networks of wealth and influence and connecting philanthropists, entrepreneurs, business leaders, alumni, and other partners with ASU’s broad institutional strengths.
Reporting to the Chief Global Advancement Officer, the Executive Director will also lead an experienced regional advancement team, bringing focus, collaboration, and accountability to its work. Success will require deep knowledge of the West Coast philanthropic and business landscape, including the distinct dynamics of Northern and Southern California, as well as the judgment to focus ASU’s people and resources on the relationships and opportunities with the greatest philanthropic potential.
