MSI United States, the organization’s US-based fundraising arm, has entered a remarkable period of philanthropic momentum and growth. In 2025 alone, the Global Philanthropy Team raised more than £135 million globally, including $38.7 million from US-based donors, while significantly expanding its donor pipeline and engagement efforts. The Opportunity

The Director of Philanthropy, West Coast will play a pivotal role in advancing MSI’s ambitious fundraising goals across one of the country’s most strategically important philanthropic regions. Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Philanthropy, this entrepreneurial leader will build and manage a portfolio of approximately 120 high-net-worth donors and prospects while designing and executing sophisticated cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the United States and internationally, the Director will help grow a portfolio valued at more than $2 million while strengthening MSI’s visibility and engagement among West Coast philanthropists and supporters.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned frontline fundraiser who thrives in both strategic and relationship-centered environments. MSI seeks a confident and collaborative professional with demonstrated success securing six- and seven-figure gifts, building donor pipelines, and connecting philanthropists to transformational global work. The ideal candidate will bring deep emotional intelligence, outstanding communication skills, and a genuine commitment to reproductive choice and women’s empowerment.

The salary range for this position is $170,000–$190,000.
