The Opportunity
Omaha Children’s Museum seeks a visionary and collaborative Chief Executive Officer to lead the institution into its next chapter of growth and impact.
This leader will guide one of the region’s most treasured cultural organizations at a moment of significant opportunity. With a stable financial foundation, strong attendance, and a deeply engaged board and donor community, OCM is well positioned to expand its programs, strengthen its philanthropic pipeline, and further elevate its reputation across the Great Plains.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization, working closely with a senior leadership team overseeing finance and operations, development, marketing and communications, education and guest experience, and exhibits. The next CEO will champion OCM’s mission while building strong internal systems, mentoring and inspiring staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences across exhibits, programs, and community initiatives.
This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic organization with a passionate staff, dedicated board, and loyal base of families and supporters. The successful candidate will bring entrepreneurial energy, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to the role children’s museums play in learning, creativity, and community life.
The salary range for this position is $225,000 – $250,000, including a performance-based bonus.
