The Opportunity
UHF is seeking a dynamic, relationship-oriented Chief Development Officer to lead the next chapter of its philanthropic growth.
Reporting to the President and CEO and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, the Chief Development Officer will have the opportunity to elevate a well-established development program while helping shape the future of one of New York’s most influential health policy organizations.
As UHF’s chief fundraiser, the Chief Development Officer will partner closely with organizational leadership and the Board of Directors to broaden and diversify philanthropic support.
The successful candidate will inherit a strong reputation and a mission with extraordinary relevance, while bringing fresh energy, new ideas, and a proactive approach to identifying, cultivating, and stewarding transformational donors. They will serve as UHF’s lead ambassador in the philanthropic community, articulating how the organization’s research, policy leadership, convening power, and innovative programs improve the health of millions of New Yorkers.
This is a rare opportunity for a fundraiser who thrives on both strategy and execution. Grounded in modern fundraising strategies that position UHF for sustained growth, the CDO will personally manage a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects, strengthen board engagement in philanthropy, and lead a development team to new heights.
The salary range for this position is $180,000–$215,000.
