The Madeira School is an independent boarding and day school that educates girls in grades nine through 12. Located on a scenic 376-acre campus that is just 12 miles from Washington, DC, the Madeira School was founded in 1906 by Lucy Madeira in the belief that it is our duty and privilege to help young women to understand their changing world and to have the confidence to live lives of their own making, their own passions, and their own dreams.
