MSI Reproductive Choices Logo
The US-based team of fundraising professionals will advance MSI’s mission by linking philanthropic outreach to global strategy, ensuring vital support for MSI as it empowers women around the world.

Guided by the belief that reproductive choice is fundamental to gender equality, MSI Reproductive Choices aims to help women take control of their lives, their health, and their well-being. The international NGO fulfills its mission in 37 countries, serving over 21 million women through its various centers and modes of outreach across the globe.

To meet demand for its services and expand its impact even further, MSI partnered with Lindauer to build a US-based fundraising team responsible for harnessing the transformative power of individual giving.

Following national searches for several pivotal roles, Lindauer and MSI recruited a team of experienced, savvy, and passionate fundraisers ready to build on MSI’s successes and help vault the NGO into a higher level of mission impact.

Kate Greenberg, Senior Director of Individual Giving

Kate Greenberg brings over 20 years of experience securing significant philanthropic contributions to advance humanitarian causes. She excels in building and maintaining strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, aligning passion and purpose while translating support into mission-driven results. Greenberg joins MSI from CARE USA, where she worked as the Executive Director of Philanthropy, Western Region. While at CARE, she led a team of five frontline officers to raise $25 million annually, and managed relationships with 130 high-net-worth individuals and families across the greater Midwest, California, Colorado, and Texas areas.

Ivy Shen, Director of Global Principal Gifts

Ivy Shen balances leadership and fundraising skills to drive major gifts and substantial philanthropic engagement for organizations dedicated to human rights, social justice, and nonprofit management. She joins MSI from Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) USA, where she served as Director of Philanthropy, leading a team of 27 development professionals responsible for raising approximately $400 million annually to support MSF’s humanitarian work around the world.

Sara Kirkwood, Director of Individual Giving, East Coast

A catalyst for driving philanthropic growth and pursuing creative solutions through strategic outreach and relationship-building, Sara Kirkwood’s skill set and experience transfer directly to her new role with MSI. She joins the MSI team from Physicians for Reproductive Health, where she managed all fundraising efforts for a $4 million budget, leading a high-functioning team and collaborating with senior leadership to ensure alignment between fundraising tactics and institutional strategy. Prior to Physicians for Reproductive Health, Kirkwood served as Associate Director of Individual Giving at the Guttmacher Institute, where she launched its individual and major giving program and grew it from $850,000 to over $4 million in five years.

The MSI team-build was led by Lindauer Executive Vice President and Managing Director Libby Roberts and Senior Consultant Josh Maker.
