The Opportunity

BCHT is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Giving (VP) to build and implement the organization’s first transformational giving program. The VP will play a central role in coordinating Hospital stakeholders to create and support opportunities that leverage pediatric health for the world. Reporting directly to the President of BCHT, this professional will serve on the Trust’s executive leadership team and work in partnership with the Vice President for Development and Campaign and other senior leaders in major gifts.

The importance of this position was on full display during a 2019 campaign that raised over $1.5 billion and demonstrated the potential for transformational giving at BCHT. Building on this foundation, the VP will develop a formal transformative gift strategy, utilizing their personal and professional networks to implement innovative ideas. Successful candidates will have experience in high-performing fundraising programs within sophisticated, matrixed institutions. While academic medicine fundraising experience is preferred, the ability to excel in a complex, fast-paced organization is vital.
