Associate Consultant Job Description

The Lindauer Associate Consultant is responsible for providing search support by developing and assessing candidates for Client search openings. Associates also provide assistance in the areas of search marketing, preparation of candidate packages, and travel and meeting coordination.

Reporting to a Senior Search Leader in the firm, Associate Consultants typically work with two to three Search Leaders in order to develop and deliver consistent Client approaches. Within that working team, Associate Consultants are assigned to particular searches on the basis of content expertise, capacity to execute work with the highest quality, and geography.  They might also be asked to have Client interactions and must present with the utmost level of professionalism and sophistication to both Client and candidate contacts.

The Lindauer approach to building candidate pools is designed to create a highly collaborative team and company culture. Associate Consultants may over time be asked to work on assignments with other Search Consultants in the company.

Lindauer is dedicated to the successful onboarding of new hires and professional development for staff. Staff at all levels are given opportunities to learn new skills and techniques and to test themselves by accepting increasing responsibility in order to develop professionally. Three-month evaluations are held for new hires; six-month and year-end evaluations are conducted on an annual basis. All members of the Search Team are salaried; incentives may be awarded based on the company’s profitability and activities including achieving best practice metrics and attaining and/or exceeding goals.
