LSU Health Shreveport is an academic medical center advancing medical education, research, and clinical care across North Louisiana and the broader region. LSU Health Shreveport encompasses the Schools of Medicine, Graduate Studies, and Health Professions and Sciences, educating approximately 1,100 students each term and supporting a robust academic environment where learning and discovery translate directly to improved patient outcomes.
The LSU Health Sciences Foundation serves as the philanthropic partner supporting this work. Since its founding in 1997, the Foundation has grown an endowment exceeding $300 million, providing millions in annual funding to support LSU Health Shreveport and the Ochsner LSU Health System. Recent milestones include the completion of the $80 million Center for Medical Education and Wellness and new initiatives designed to expand research capacity and clinical innovation.
