Founded in 1963, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that provides financial support, staffing, and creative resources to ensure that the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum remains a vibrant living memorial to our 35th president. Its mission is to inspire public service, civic responsibility, civil rights, scientific discovery, and creative cultural pursuits by preserving and promoting the legacy of President Kennedy.
The Opportunity
As the Foundation enters an exciting new phase of philanthropic growth, it seeks a Principal Gift Officer to join its experienced development team and help cultivate the next generation of transformational supporters.
Reporting to the Vice President of Development, the Principal Gift Officer will manage a portfolio of leadership donors and prospects while securing six- and seven-figure gifts that advance the Foundation’s ambitious mission. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with philanthropists, collaborate with Foundation leadership and trustees, and develop customized strategies that inspire significant investments in civic education, public engagement, and the preservation of President Kennedy’s legacy.
The successful candidate will be a strategic relationship builder with a demonstrated record of securing major gifts, leading complex solicitations, and cultivating long-term donor partnerships. This is an exceptional opportunity to elevate the Foundation’s fundraising program and to play a central role in ensuring that President Kennedy’s vision continues to inspire future generations.
The salary range for this position is $165,000–$180,000.
