For more than 35 years, The HALO Trust has worked at the front lines of post-conflict recovery, clearing landmines and explosive remnants of war so families can safely return to their fields, schools, and communities. True peace does not begin when conflict ends. It begins when land is made safe and livelihoods can be restored. Operating in more than 30 countries, HALO combines technical expertise with deep local partnership, training and employing community members to remove explosive hazards and reclaim land for productive use.
HALO Trust USA, the Washington, D.C.-based 501(c)(3) affiliate, fuels this global mission through philanthropic investment, advocacy, and strategic partnerships. Working closely with its UK counterpart and supported by major institutional funders, including the U.S. Department of State, HALO Trust USA is highly regarded for accountability, financial transparency, and impact. At least 90% of funds raised are committed directly to transforming lives in conflict-affected regions. As the organization continues to grow its philanthropic base, it stands at a pivotal moment to deepen its engagement with high-net-worth individuals and expand its community of ambassadors for this life-saving work.
