The Opportunity
The Chief Financial Officer joins UNC Health Foundation at a pivotal moment of growth and transformation, serving as a trusted strategic advisor to the President and a key member of the senior leadership team.
This executive will oversee every aspect of the Foundation’s financial enterprise, including financial strategy, investment management, endowment stewardship, treasury, compliance, audit, governance, and risk management. Leading an experienced finance team and partnering closely with an engaged Board of Directors, the CFO will help shape the financial future of one of the country’s most respected academic health philanthropy organizations.
Beyond financial leadership, the CFO will play a central role in strengthening collaboration across the Foundation, UNC Health, the UNC School of Medicine, and the University of North Carolina. The successful candidate will guide a growing endowment, oversee relationships with multiple investment managers, support complex governance structures, and ensure exceptional stewardship of philanthropic assets while aligning financial strategy with donor intent and organizational priorities.
