The Opportunity

Georgia State University invites an experienced and visionary advancement leader to serve as the Associate Vice President for Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving. Reporting to the President of the Georgia State University Foundation and Vice President for University Advancement, the AVP will shape and lead a unified, modern strategy for deepening alumni relationships and expanding a culture of philanthropy across a diverse community of more than 304,000 alumni.

This is a moment of tremendous institutional acceleration as GSU prepares for an ambitious comprehensive campaign. The AVP will design and implement a forward-thinking engagement and annual giving strategy that harnesses analytics, storytelling, segmentation, and volunteer leadership to elevate participation and philanthropic investment. This individual will lead an evolving team, build collaboration across academic and administrative units, and ensure that alumni engagement becomes a key driver of campaign visibility and long-term institutional success.
