In 1893, a dedicated group of 22 women and three men came together to establish a voluntary, not-for-profit hospital for their community, White Plains Hospital (WPH). In that first year, 31 patients were cared for. One hundred twenty-five years later, almost 200,000 patients receive treatments in White Plains Hospital’s facilities annually. As the leading provider of advanced healthcare in the Hudson Valley, WPH’s mission extends beyond inpatient and outpatient care to include assessing and improving the health status of the local community, the professional community and the business sector. The Hospital strives to enhance its capabilities and to deliver health care services, within the scope of its resources, in a cost-effective manner.
