Vice President, Corporate Philanthropy Programs

City of Hope Remote

City of Hope’s mission is to transform the future of cancer care. Each day it turns science into a practical benefit and hope into reality. It accomplishes that by unifying the branches of biomedical research, treatment, and academia. With scientists, clinical staff, and manufacturing facilities in close proximity, its treatment advances can travel from laboratory to patient with life-saving speed.

The Opportunity

To support its mission, City of Hope seeks a Vice President, Corporate Philanthropy Programs, to serve in a leadership role within the Office of Philanthropy. Managing a team of 12, the VP will be a culture-setter who shares responsibility for cultivating an environment of excellence, collaboration, accountability, and efficiency. The VP will expand City of Hope’s existing corporate philanthropy program into new industries, mobilize an already active and engaged volunteer contingent, and create synergies across the organization to increase levels of corporate support.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary, strategic thinker with a proven track record of advancing national corporate fundraising programs through creativity, collaboration, and outside-the-box thinking. Relationship-building is a core tenet of the organization and of this position in particular. The VP will be adept at developing relationships with both internal and external partners in order to drive increased philanthropy for transformative cancer care.
