In 2014, UT Health San Antonio completed a $600M campaign, Future of Health. The organization is currently laying the groundwork for a new campaign.

The Opportunity

UT Health San Antonio is seeking an experienced fundraising professional with an entrepreneurial spirit, political acumen and a collaborative nature to serve as Senior Associate Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Reporting to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Chief Development Officer, the Senior Associate will be responsible for securing significant financial support to sustain and develop the missions of UT Health San Antonio, with a focus on the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of principal and transformational gifts ($5M+) and major gifts ($1M+) and oversight and development of the University’s vision to cultivate gifts from grateful patients, alumni, and new donors to build the pipeline for future philanthropic support. Working closely with the vice president, president and other institutional leaders, the Senior Associate Vice President participates in making strategic decisions and maintaining key relationships that impact fundraising for the institution across revenue streams. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated past success in working with volunteer boards as well as 10+ years’ experience, at least 5 of which at the Director level or leading a Development team or program of comparable scale and complexity.
