With the driving ambition to make the world a better place through service and academic excellence, the University of San Francisco (USF) promotes learning in the Jesuit tradition by offering undergraduate and graduate students a superior curriculum. The Jesuit tradition promotes students from every faith. The city’s first university, USF was established in 1855 and continues to tap into the rich cultural, intellectual, and economic resources of San Francisco to strengthen its educational programs. Contributions to the University help fund innovation, as well as recruit and support outstanding faculty, further fueling the education and preparation of a new generation of global leaders.
As part of the recently expanded development team, the Associate Vice President for Development (AVP) will manage day-to-day activities for a team of 15+, an individual portfolio of 50-75 major and principal gift prospects, and all principal, major and planned giving activities for individual donors. The AVP will possess a distinguished track record in major and principal gift fundraising and staff management, preferably in higher education, with 7-10 years of progressively responsible development experience preferred. Thinking strategically, generating new ideas, planning and setting goals and objectives, and achieving revenue results are critical, as is demonstrated success in actively managing a strong development team and budget.
