In the aftermath of the deadliest antisemitic attack in the history of the United States of America, a new nonprofit “Tree of Life” formed in 2022 with the vision “to end antisemitism — together”. The mission of the organization is to educate and inspire individuals and communities from across the nation to recognize and stand up against antisemitism through remembrance, experience, and action. The new Tree of Life seeks to be an emotional declaration of resilience and action in the face of hate and a memorial to lives lived and lost that will never be forgotten.

The Opportunity

Tree of Life seeks an inaugural Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the new entity from its inception through a campaign to the opening and operation of a new building designed by world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind. The CEO will be the principal author of a strategic and results-oriented planning process to create the infrastructure for a sustainable model for future success. The CEO will serve as the front-line fundraising leader for the organization and bring proven ability and professional stature to cultivate high-capacity donors and institutional partners locally and nationally. The CEO will drive the organization’s REMEMBER. REBUILD. RENEW. campaign to be launched in late 2022. The ideal CEO will be the face of the organization, both passionate and sensitive in reinforcing existing partnerships and forging new ones, and must demonstrate the leadership skills necessary to galvanize the organization to support and execute its vision for the future.
