Vice President for Development and University Advancement

The University of Texas at Tyler , Tyler, Texas

The University of Texas at Tyler (UT Tyler) and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler (UTHSC-T) have recently united into one University — The University of Texas at Tyler. This administrative unification is great news for Northeast Texas as it brings together excellence in academic learning, medical education, and healthcare to benefit students, faculty, researchers, and the community. This empowering realignment and the recent investment of $95 million into additional educational and clinical facilities made by the Board of Regents, pave the way for a possible medical school, which will significantly increase the number of physicians and medical services in the region.

The Opportunity

As a member of President Calhoun’s leadership team, the Vice President for Development and University Advancement will participate in strategic University-wide issues and priorities. UT Tyler’s next VP is presented with the opportunity to design and build a new advancement program, reshape infrastructure, and integrate existing professional staff and new team members. Leading all fundraising and engagement strategies for University stakeholders, the role will be critical in shaping a vibrant future for a newly unified University and the communities of Northeast Texas.
