The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute , Williamstown, Massachusetts

Situated on 140 pastoral acres, the Clark Art Institute has an international reputation for its unique dual mission as a celebrated art museum and a distinguished center for research and higher education. Developed by Sterling and Francine Clark more than sixty years ago as a home for their extensive collection, the Clark welcomes visitors to experience its American and European art and to enjoy the facility’s lawns, meadows and walking trails. It is an international center for research, awarding prestigious fellowships for art historians utilize its extensive art history library. In 2014, a transformational campus expansion was completed which included new facilities to support program growth, including the new Clark Center, enlarged museum space, and a large reflecting pool.

The Opportunity

The Clark is seeking a Chief Advancement Officer to provide a strategic vision for its capital and annual fundraising programs. This fundraising professional will build a team and provide the pathway to reach long-term goals, including deepening alliances with donors, expanding the planned giving program, and growing the awareness and recognition of the Clark and its collections and activities. This key member of the senior management team will encourage collaboration among organization staff and support the Director and Board of Directors in their work to support advancement programs.
