Founded in the Episcopal tradition, St. Paul’s School is one of the nation’s leading coeducational independent boarding schools for grades 9 through 12. It offers a highly academic community that pursues the highest ideals of scholarship and strives to challenge students intellectually and morally — to nurture a love for learning and a commitment to engage as servant leaders in a complex world.
Ranked fourth among the Best Boarding High Schools in America by Niche 2019 Best Schools, St. Paul’s is academically rigorous but staffed with teachers who take the time to know the whole student, whether in the classroom, in the dormitory, on the athletic fields or along one of the many paths that wind through the grounds. All students and faculty live at the School, so there is never a shortage of peers with whom to study or find camaraderie as well as adults to provide guidance and support away from home. Most alumni share that they made their most enduring friendships at St. Paul’s.
Graduates of St. Paul’s School have included three candidates for U.S. president, six senators or congressmen, 13 U.S. ambassadors, 10 leaders of various U.S. administrations, and a governor of New Hampshire as well as a Nobel Prize winner, a Medal of Honor recipient, and three Pulitzer Prize winners.
