Year Up has spent the last two decades giving young people an opportunity to secure a solid foothold in the world of work or pursue a professional degree. Year Up’s mission is to close the “Opportunity Divide” by ensuring young adults gain the skills, experiences, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher education. Through an intensive yearlong program, young adults gain the skills necessary to be successful: networking and mentoring, work experience, and support and guidance in navigating the job search process. The Opportunity

Year Up seeks a Senior Director of Philanthropy who is deeply committed to Year Up’s mission and passionate about democratizing opportunity for young people.

The role entails developing a robust donor pipeline, enhancing brand visibility within philanthropic circles, and nurturing relationships with current contributors in New York. The ideal candidate thrives on data-driven strategies and engaging prospective donors at the highest levels of philanthropy while supporting and managing existing donor relationships.

Located near Wall Street in New York, Year Up’s office buzzes with energetic leadership and active student involvement, reflecting the city’s dynamic spirit.

One of the unique features of being part of the Year Up team is the integration of staff into the organization’s mission. Staff members serve as advisors and mentors to participants in the Year Up program, directly contributing to the fulfillment of Year Up’s critical work.

The salary range for this position is $165,000-$190,000.
