Academy (Andover) is a world-renowned American boarding school, and is most
highly regarded for its rigorous academic program, innovative and versatile
faculty, and talented and diverse student body. Founded in 1778, the Academy’s
singularity among private independent schools resides in its rich history and
core values, which include youth from every quarter, non sibi (not for self),
and knowledge and goodness. Putting these values into practice, the Academy
provides students with a broad and deep liberal arts curriculum and supportive
educational experience, graduating them into the nation’s most highly regarded
colleges and universities. Students are called to many tasks and challenges at
Andover; ultimately, they will join 22,000 alumni and be called to make a
difference in the world.
