Founded in 1848 as the Philadelphia School of Design for Women, and becoming Moore College of Art & Design in 1989, Moore is the first and only visual arts college for women in the United States. The College offers undergraduate bachelor of fine arts degrees and coeducational graduate programs that enhance the knowledge of students in the field of art and design.As a cultural leader, Moore promotes access to the arts throughout the broader community. The Galleries at Moore introduce the work of significant regional, national and international artists to the community through distinctive exhibitions and educational programs. The wide-ranging Continuing Education programs also serve the community by providing opportunities for men and women to learn new skills for personal and professional growth. Through Moore’s acclaimed Young Artists Workshop, founded in 1921, the lives of children and youth are enriched through creative arts education.

The Opportunity

The Director of Development will be responsible for the planning and implementing of all fundraising for the College, including the execution and management of a comprehensive campaign. Additionally, the selected candidate will manage the day to day operations of the Development Office and will share a passion for Moore’s mission and vision. A Bachelor’s degree and at least six years of experience in fundraising,including major gifts, and two years of experience managing staff is required.
