ranked the top design school in the world, the Harvard Graduate School of
Design (GSD), part of prestigious Harvard University, is dedicated to the
education and development of design professionals in architecture, landscape
architecture, urban planning, and urban design. The formidable GSD program is
at once wildly ambitious, experimental and optimistic, with a curiosity and
commitment to exploring complex challenges that places the school at the
intersection of art, science, and action. With a dedication to excellence that
demands the skillful pairing of form and technology and draws inspiration from
a broad range of social, environmental, and cultural issues, the GSD is
uniquely positioned to provide leadership for shaping the built environment of
the 21st century.
The GSD’s Office of Development and Alumni Relations is seeking a talented and strategic Associate Director of Development and Strategic Initiatives to oversee and manage the GSD’s priorities around senior volunteer engagement, campaign initiatives and milestones, and high-level prospect plans. This individual will bring vision and structure to the GSD’s ongoing building of its philanthropic culture through best-practice approaches to campaign management, internal and external communications, donor relations and stewardship, events, and data tracking and analysis. Managing a staff of two, the Associate Director will serve as an active liaison between the Development and Alumni Relations department and the Dean’s office, as well as an ambassador and partner with other parts of the GSD and the University.
