Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago (CCAC) was founded more than a century ago to meet human need through the Mission of Charity. Partnering with mission-driven people and organizations across Cook and Lake Counties, CCAC improves lives and nourishes spirits; strengthens and empowers people, families, and communities; and commits to being present through the eyes of faith. As the largest human services provider in the region, CCAC serves thousands daily—regardless of their faith, gender, race, or ethnicity.

As part of an invigorating call to mission engagement, CCAC has envisioned a new program, the St. Martin de Porres Society (SMdP). The idea behind SMdP is for CCAC to become a leading voice and convener of dialogue and debate at the intersection of economic growth, social justice, and faith.

The Opportunity

To embark upon this inspiring initiative, CCAC has created a new role, Executive Director – St. Martin de Porres Society, charged with launching and leading the Society to become a premier forum within the Chicago metropolitan region and the national Catholic community.

Engaging with a core group of stakeholders, the Executive Director will articulate an actionable operating plan and growth trajectory, with appropriate performance metrics; refine institutional thinking around audience and outreach; and develop a distinct voice for the Society worthy of influence and impact.

The Executive Director will report directly to President and CEO Dr. Sally Blount as a trusted partner and advisor on SMdP, as well as on mission engagement more generally. In addition, the ED will be a strategic partner in executive communications for Dr. Blount, a seasoned and talented communicator and a leader of deep faith. Working closely together, the ED and Dr. Blount will find new avenues for leveraging Dr. Blount’s voice on behalf of Catholic Charities’ critical mission.
