The Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound) was established in 2009 to confront the challenges posed by endometriosis, a condition affecting approximately 200 million women globally and one in 10 women in the United States. EndoFound is dedicated to raising public awareness about the disease, advocating for increased resources and support for its treatment, providing expert surgical training, and funding crucial endometriosis research.
The Foundation engages in comprehensive campaigns to educate both the medical community and the general public, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and effective intervention while also educating future medical professionals and their patients. Through programs like the ENPOWR Project, which targets adolescents in grades 9 through 12, and research grants supporting innovative studies, EndoFound is committed to empowering individuals, advancing medical understanding, and ultimately finding a cure for endometriosis.
