The Endometriosis Foundation of America (EndoFound) was established in 2009 to confront the challenges posed by endometriosis, a condition affecting approximately 200 million women globally and one in 10 women in the United States. EndoFound is dedicated to raising public awareness about the disease, advocating for increased resources and support for its treatment, providing expert surgical training, and funding crucial endometriosis research.
The Foundation engages in comprehensive campaigns to educate both the medical community and the general public, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and effective intervention while also educating future medical professionals and their patients. Through programs like the ENPOWR Project, which targets adolescents in grades 9 through 12, and research grants supporting innovative studies, EndoFound is committed to empowering individuals, advancing medical understanding, and ultimately finding a cure for endometriosis.
EndoFound is seeking an Executive Director (ED) to lead its strategic vision and operational execution. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the ED will spearhead efforts to expand the Foundation’s reach through partnerships and program initiatives, advocating for women’s health issues and fostering a positive and professional organizational reputation. Responsibilities include overseeing financial management, fundraising activities, board governance, program development, and marketing and communications efforts.
The ED will serve as the primary spokesperson for EndoFound, driving its mission forward on local, national, and international levels, and ensuring that the Foundation achieves its development goals outlined to further enhance understanding, treatment, and support for those affected by endometriosis. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly within healthcare settings, along with a demonstrated track record in community engagement, fundraising, and strategic planning.
This is an exciting and impactful opportunity for a community-focused leader who is passionate about women’s health and strategic leadership to drive positive change in healthcare on both a local and global scale.
