The Opportunity

William & Mary seeks an experienced professional for the newly created role of Executive Director of Donor Relations. The inaugural Executive Director will join an organization that benefits from a robust donor constituency and serve as the architect of a comprehensive donor relations program that recognizes the impact of this generous community.

The dynamic professional will oversee the transformation of the existing program and infuse innovative stewardship and engagement strategies throughout the entire donor continuum to increase retention and drive pipeline development. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Principal Gifts and Gift Planning, the Executive Director will be responsible for building, inspiring, and managing a team of experts in donor relations. As William & Mary embarks on the initial planning phases of its next comprehensive campaign, the Executive Director will play a pivotal role in shaping guidelines for gift acceptance, acknowledgments, and compliance.
