Grateful Living Remote

Founded in 2000 by Brother David Steindl-Rast, OSB, known as the “grandfather of gratitude,” Grateful Living is a global organization offering online and community-based educational programs and practices that inspire and guide a commitment to grateful living and catalyze the transformative power of personal and societal responsibility through its rich diversity. Grateful Living provides opportunities for personal reflection and simple ways to bring the benefits of grateful living into day-to-day life. It supports people to see the wonder and opportunity in every moment and to act boldly with love, generosity, and respect towards one another, themselves, and the Earth.

The Opportunity

Grateful Living is seeking a visionary and inspirational leader to serve as its next Executive Director. The Executive Director will personify gratefulness, embody deep listening, and have a humble spirit while working with people from all over the world. This is a tremendous opportunity to join an organization whose work focuses on grateful living and mindfulness with the hope of catalyzing the transformative power of personal and societal responsibility. The successful candidate will be adept at fundraising; possess excellent communication skills; be familiar with social media, technology, and digital marketing; and be skilled at managing people and tasks. Additionally, having the ability to network and build partnerships outside the organization is paramount.

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, have strong leadership skills, exhibit an initiative-driven persona, be collaborative, and find joy in bringing gratitude to the lives of others. A commitment to diversity and equity, promoting an inclusive and respectful workplace environment, and a dedication to the mission and values of Grateful Living are fundamental expectations.
