Director of Annual Giving

Chautauqua Institution , Remote Optional + Chautauqua, New York

For nearly 150 years, Chautauqua Institution has been a place where families, friends, couples, and singles gather each summer to relax and renew in a quintessential lakeside community setting that has inspired minds and hearts, solutions, and resolutions. Chautauqua is a global convener of dialogue and debate on the most significant issues of the day through engagement across four programmatic and thematic pillars—arts, education, religion, and recreation. The full impact of Chautauqua is found in the mix of experiences between and among the pillars.

The Opportunity

The Chautauqua Institution seeks a Director of Annual Giving who demonstrate sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community members; a connection to the mission; an ability to work independently and collaboratively; and a capacity to serve as a model of openness, generosity, and acceptance. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Advancement, the Director of Annual Giving is responsible for providing strategic direction on all aspects of the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Chautauqua Fund, a program to raise unrestricted support for operational and/or programmatic needs of Chautauqua Institution.
