The Director of Family Philanthropy plays a pivotal role in the institution’s ambitious Dare Northward campaign. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Director leads a team and is responsible for engaging families of students in supporting the College. This key position involves overseeing the solicitation of gifts from individual parent donors, managing a portfolio of 100 families capable of making gifts of $100,000 and above, and ensuring appropriate stewardship.
The Director collaborates with various stakeholders, including the President, Trustees, senior administration, faculty, and staff members across campus. A strong personal commitment to Colby’s core values and a deep appreciation for the liberal arts college experience are essential for this role.
