Since its launch in 1997, The Moth has presented thousands of stories told live and without notes. The Moth’s mission is to promote the art and craft of storytelling and to honor and celebrate the diversity and commonality of human experience.

The Opportunity

As The Moth embarks on its 25th anniversary, it is looking for a Director of Development who can champion the cause of storytelling and build upon The Moth’s popularity to grow support from its dedicated fans, build new pipelines, and develop creative ways to fundraise for The Moth’s innovative programs.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic self-starter with a track record of success in a development leadership role, an innovator, an exceptional relationship builder, and a proven manager and mentor. Demonstrated success as a front-line major gift officer is paramount, as is knowledge of best practices in development and membership — including grassroots and online campaigns.
