Director of Annual Giving

St. Anne’s – Belfield School , Charlottesville, Virginia

One of Charlottesville’s oldest independent schools, St. Anne’s-Belfield School has an established reputation as a leader in student-centered education. Its commitment to supporting the whole learner means teachers, coaches, and staff are continually improving their knowledge and applying new skills in and out of the classroom. The School provides students with a multi-dimensional education experience that encourages them to grow into compassionate, engaged citizens.

The Opportunity

The Director of Annual Giving plays a vital role in instilling a culture of philanthropy and generosity among parents/guardians, alumni, and the extended community of St. Anne’s-Belfield School. Arriving at an exciting moment for the School, the Director will partner with the newly named Chief Advancement Officer to imagine new modes of engagement grounded in data and elevated by creative storytelling.

To achieve new levels of success for the School, the Director will develop a visionary strategic plan for the Fund for St. Anne’s-Belfield that inspires stakeholders and maximizes philanthropic potential. In partnership with Development colleagues, the Director will establish and communicate key messages, draft marketing plans and appeal letters, manage annual giving plans and timetables, implement best practices, and conduct donor outreach. In addition, the Director will recruit, support, and inspire key volunteers in their work on behalf of the School and champion annual giving with students, faculty, staff, senior administration, and the School community.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned and entrepreneurial fundraising professional to drive the future of sustainable growth for a historical educational institution.
