The Pontifical Mission Societies originated from a mission group founded in the early 1800s by Pauline Marie Jaricot in Lyon, France. Today, TPMS provides support for a global network of people who are making a difference for the poor and forgotten. TPMS supports the proclamation of the Gospel, the building of churches, and the work and witness of mission priests, religious Sisters and Brothers, and lay pastoral leaders.
