More than a century ago, Delaware Valley University (DelVal) opened its doors as an agricultural college in eastern Pennsylvania. Today, DelVal stands as an academically rigorous interdisciplinary teaching university focused on sciences and liberal arts. Sited on more than 1,100 acres, the university honors its roots by offering an outdoor classroom for several fields of study including an arboretum, a farm with 150 tillable acres and grazing pastures, and a living laboratory space. Delaware Valley University is seeking an Associate Vice President of Marketing and Communications (AVP) who is ready to develop and lead a university-wide marketing, communications, and branding strategy. As a key member of the President’s cabinet, the AVP will serve as the chief marketing and communications officer, creating and implementing campaigns to increase the school’s visibility and to attract students, donors and faculty. This team leader will ensure alignment and synergy in internal and external marketing and communications efforts, oversee editorial direction, and create a vision for DelVal’s digital and social media strategy. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of experience in marketing and communications in higher education, preferably with a Master’s in marketing, communications, public relations or business.
