Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) is a one-of-a-kind, multi-museum complex housed in Union Terminal, an iconic Art Deco train and National Historic Landmark. Museum Center is the largest cultural institution in the city of Cincinnati, with more than 1 million visitors per year. Its major offerings at Union Terminal include the Cincinnati History Museum, the Cincinnati History Library and Archives, the Duke Energy Children’s Museum, the Museum of Natural History & Science and the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX® Theater. The permanent and temporary exhibits are supported and complemented by the state-of-the-art Geier Collections & Research Center, educational programs, professional development programs for teachers, day and overnight camps, public lectures and programs, tours of historic sites and community-wide cultural events. Museum Center’s collection encompass more than 1.8 million artifacts, art works and archives.

The Opportunity

As the Chief Development Officer for the Cincinnati Museum Center, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement will identify, facilitate and secure gifts and grants to ensure that the capital, endowment and operating budget needs of CMC are fulfilled on an annual basis. An exceptional leader, the Vice President will direct a substantial fundraising program and participate in strategic planning and in the execution of strategic plans. As a true visionary, the Vice President will set ambitious goals and innovative strategies for increasing contributions to expanded programs, endowment growth and capital projects, and, over the next several years, conduct a multi-million dollar comprehensive campaign to address CMC’s endowment, exhibit, and capital needs.
