Children’s National Health System (CNHS) is dedicated to caring for children and its community. As the leading kids’ health system in the Washington, DC area and the only freestanding children’s hospital between Philadelphia and Atlanta, Children’s National Health System is ranked by U.S. News & World Report as #5 among the best pediatric hospitals in the nation and #1 for newborn intensive care.
Thousands of families from around the region, nation, and world seek care at Children’s National Heart Institute from its team of internationally respected pediatric cardiologists and cardiac surgeons. In addition to more than 35 board-certified pediatric cardiologists, there is pioneering research to identify and develop the next generation procedures and technology to make pediatric heart care safer and more effective. The Telemedicine Program at Children’s National Health System designs, develops and executes strategies that use electronic and telecommunications technologies to improve access to care and outcomes for children. Patients and families can engage virtually with their child’s care team, while healthcare providers can connect with Children’s National experts as they develop care plans for their own patients.
