The Opportunity
Care New England is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) to lead its philanthropic endeavors and elevate its status as a distinguished healthcare institution in the region. Working as a member of the senior leadership team and reporting to the system’s new Chief Executive Officer, the CPO will enhance CNE’s capabilities through strategic planning, robust fundraising initiatives, staff and Board development, and innovative program creation. This role is instrumental in fostering a thriving philanthropic culture.
The CPO will be a seasoned fundraising professional, ideally with experience in healthcare settings, who excels in fostering collaboration and advocacy. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in scaling and optimizing fundraising functions and must demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in healthcare practices. Responsible for overseeing the creation, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive fundraising plan, the CPO must be a program builder who can define philanthropic priorities, manage a development staff and solicit a portfolio of top donors and prospects.
