The University of Maryland, Baltimore, opened in 1807, is Maryland’s public health, law, and human services university dedicated to excellence in education, research, clinical care, and public service. UMB enrolls nearly 7,000 students in six nationally ranked professional schools — dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and social work — and an interdisciplinary Graduate School. The University offers 90 doctoral, master’s, baccalaureate, and certificate programs and confers most of the professional practice doctoral degrees awarded in Maryland.

The Opportunity

UMB seeks a visionary leader to oversee the Office of Philanthropy. The Chief Philanthropy Officer will play a critical role in UMB’s elevation by creating a collaborative culture of philanthropy that promotes and encourages transformative giving opportunities while also supporting the independent fundraising efforts of UMB’s seven professional schools.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced fundraising leader who is also highly collaborative and can work across many channels and sectors to create and deliver shared goals.
