Chief Philanthropic and Communications Officer

Holt International
Eugene, Oregon

Holt International provides care and support to many of the world’s most vulnerable children—those who are orphaned, abandoned, or at serious risk of separation from their family.

Working in local communities around the world, Holt strives to keep children in their families of birth by providing the care and support they need to grow and thrive as a family. For children who do not remain with their birth families, Holt helps them find loving families through adoption, foster, and kinship care.

Established overseas for more than six decades, Holt International is the model for international adoption and child welfare. World leaders seek the organization’s expertise, and child welfare organizations embrace its partnership.

The Opportunity

Holt is seeking a skilled and experienced executive to lead philanthropic and communications initiatives resulting in successful, strategic programs and opportunities that invoke passion and constituent action to achieve Holt’s mission of finding families for children.

Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Philanthropic and Communications Officer (CPCO) will drive the strategy and implementation of best-in-class fundraising and marketing programs while leading a team dedicated to the organization’s mission.

With an emphasis on increasing support for and awareness of Holt’s family-strengthening programs for international orphaned, abandoned, and vulnerable children, the CPCO will strive for a higher level of donor engagement and philanthropic support of Holt’s work.

Philanthropy is the major revenue center for the organization. Inheriting a strong recurring mid-level donor base, the CPCO will strategically develop a robust individual major, planned, and principal gifts program designed to leverage relationships through Holt’s longstanding sponsorship opportunities.

As Holt charts its course for the future, the CPCO will be a key stakeholder in determining how best to continue to serve the children and families to whom it is dedicated, as well as the donors who support its mission.
